Ship filters
A ship filter is a crucial component in any large motorized ship whether the filter is used for cooling water or for fire extinguishing systems.
The filters produced by Pinholt Metal Working are used by customers all over the world, both for renovation and urgent repair of existing ships as well for constructing new ships. Sea filters from Pinholt Metal Working are manufactured according to the standards DVS 32012 & DVS 32013.
Customized filters according to customer drawing are also possible.
The background of ship filters
When the Danish shipyard industry was at its peak more than 20 years ago, a DVS standard was developed for the production of the filters.
For a number of years, production took place mainly in the yards but in the 1980s several smaller companies took over the production of the filters. Pinholt Metal Working is today Denmark's leader in marine filters and supplies both civilian vessels and the Danish navy.
Pinholt Metal Working took over the special production of sea filters from Bergla Maskinfabrik in Brønderslev in 2000, and has since continued and expanded this niche to what it is today.
