Sea chest strainers – reliable marine filter solutions for every vessel

About us:

At Pinholt Metal Working A/S, we manufacture high-quality sea chest strainers that safeguard a ship’s critical systems by filtering seawater and removing debris, marine life, and other unwanted particles. Our strainers ensure the efficient operation of cooling, fire suppression, and engine systems, ultimately extending the lifespan of essential equipment.

What makes our strainers unique?

  • Enhanced protection: by preventing blockages and wear in pumps, engines, and cooling systems, our strainers help reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Certified quality: every product is built to strict DVS standards (DVS 32012 and DVS 32013), meeting both Danish and international maritime norms.
  • Versatile designs: we offer standard models with various flow directions – including straight, right, left, and specialized configurations – as well as fully custom solutions tailored to your vessel’s layout.
  • Durable materials: our strainers are constructed from hot-dip galvanized steel and acid-resistant stainless steel (AISI 316); additionally, we offer options with untreated steel, epoxy-coated steel, or epoxy painted with internal rubber coating for enhanced corrosion resistance.
  • Reliable performance: designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 2.5 bar (tested up to 5 bar) and withstand temperatures up to 90°C, our strainers are built for even the most demanding marine environments.
